The Amaya Papaya Play Zone @ Zora! Festival 2012 will transform the Hungerford gymnasium into an interactive PLAY experience for children one to five years! While playing in the AP Play Zone children will learn through hands on discovery, roleplaying, physical activity and parent/child interaction. Parents can play with their children on play structures and at imagination-inspiring theme play stations.

The Amaya Papaya PLAY Zone will be divided into various stations for children to explore. We have a variety of activities for children and families to participate in such as live african drumming, zumbatonic, story times, face painting, crafts, character greetings, child safety kits, Zora Literacy Initiative book give away for preschoolers sponsored by The Early Learning Coalition of Orange County and so much more!!

I am requesting the assistance of local vendors and INDIVIDUALS in the community to come out and be a part of this special event by VOLUNTEERING your time at the various stations in the PLAY ZONE or for you to do a workshop, performance or interactive showcase at your own table provided by your business.
Examples of activities would be:
music performances(interactive musical performances with the kids)
entertainment (character greetings, magic shows, provide music, circle time leaders etc.)
craft/game tables
story time readers
mini workshops (computer, crafts, etiquette, etc.)

This festival is a great opportunity for individuals, businesses or organizations to give back to the community and market yourself as a community partner of an established event that has been happening in our backyard for 22 years!
