Get Involved!

As parents we want our children to learn the value of sharing with one another and the importance of giving instead of always receiving. Children are such sponges at this age, they learn so much by what we teach them. If we begin now to teach our children about giving back to their community they will learn how to be great philanthropist as adults.

Please join us each month as we teach our children to "GET INVOLVED"!

Every month Amaya Papaya will select a cause to give back to. During some of these campains we may pair your giving back with a deal on admission or other perks at Amaya Papaya however we hope that the community will just want to "GET INVOLVED" just to make a difference.

If you have a suggestion for a GET INVOLDED project or organization please contact us.

ONGOING FOOD DRIVE

In January we began working on an ongoing project that directly affects the children in the AP neighborhood. The children in the city of Casselberry, specifically children at Casselberry Elementary were featured on 60 minutes last year due to the rise in homelessness in Central Florida. From that story parents, local businesses, non-profits, local churches, teachers and neighbors from the community banded together to form the Casselberry Community Task Force.
The Task Forces purpose is to reduce hunger and homelessness in families in Casselberry.

One of the cool things that has been developed through the task force is the Care Cabin located on the campus of Casselberry Elementary School.

The Care Cabin is a place were families in need can go to collect food and clothing.
AP is a DROP-OFF location for non-perishable
FOOD

The items collected will be dropped off monthly at the Casselberry Care Cabin located @ Casselberry Elementary School.
We will NOT have a special offer for donations that are dropped off, we simply hope that you will want to GET INVOLVED and help OUR children.
