Summary:
Supervise Amaya Papaya Play Specialists in accordance with Amaya Papaya rules and procedures. Operation of Amaya Papaya during shift.
Primary Responsibilities:
Supervise Amaya Papaya Play Specialists in accordance with Amaya Papaya rules and regulations.
Operate Amaya Papaya Play Lounge during shift, which includes opening and closing Amaya Papaya Play Lounge.
Responsible for shift schedule to include: work assignments, employee breaks and changeovers.
Responsible for organizing the front desk.
Communicating with the Amaya Papaya staff, during shift.
Communicating, written and oral, with community businesses and partners regarding Amaya Papaya Play Lounge events.
Updating Amaya Papaya Play Lounge social media.
Updating the Amaya Papaya Play Lounge website.
Maintaing the play floor and the lounge area.
Hosting children.
Other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities:
Evening cleaning/sanitizing of the play area.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or an equivalent.
Manual dexterity for maintaining the play area.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Knowledge Microsoft Office and/or Apple iWork
Social Media (Facebook, Twitter, Eventbrite, etc.) computer skills
Basic computer skills.

guidelines of Amaya Papaya and answers questions concerning services provided by Amaya Papaya.
Duties: Provides superior customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers & communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Provides customers with information i.e. Entrance fees and waivers, information about rules and guidelines of Amaya Papaya, information about services and products offered by Amaya Papaya as well as providing a positive departure experience for each customer. Interacts with customers in a positive welcoming manner during their play experience.
Performs cashier duties as well as data input. Assists in special events and parties. Assists in establishing a play environment that promotes positive child and youth interactions with other children and adults. Supervises play and lounge area for potential hazards. Performs routine clean up of play and lounge area. Promotes and models safety and good health practices i.e. washing hands before handling toys and after using the restroom, placing mouthed toys into dirty buckets. Notifies supervisor of health, fire and safety compliance concerns.
Helps prepare, arrange and maintain play and lounge areas and materials to accommodate daily schedule. Assists with keeping track of needed supplies. Completes the required background checks and any training requirements. Completes CPR certification (Adult and child). Performs other related duties as assigned.
