Job Summary: Assists in oversight of play area and customer service. Provides patrons with rules and
guidelines of Amaya Papaya and answers questions concerning services provided by Amaya Papaya.
Duties: Provides superior customer service with an emphasis on courtesy. Assists customers & communicates positively in a friendly manner. Acknowledges customers, smiles and makes eye contact. Checks for satisfaction on the quality of goods and services. Provides customers with information i.e. Entrance fees and waivers, information about rules and guidelines of Amaya Papaya, information about services and products offered by Amaya Papaya as well as providing a positive departure experience for each customer. Interacts with customers in a positive welcoming manner during their play experience.
Performs cashier duties as well as data input. Assists in special events and parties. Assists in establishing a play environment that promotes positive child and youth interactions with other children and adults. Supervises play and lounge area for potential hazards. Performs routine clean up of play and lounge area. Promotes and models safety and good health practices i.e. washing hands before handling toys and after using the restroom, placing mouthed toys into dirty buckets. Notifies supervisor of health, fire and safety compliance concerns.
Helps prepare, arrange and maintain play and lounge areas and materials to accommodate daily schedule. Assists with keeping track of needed supplies. Completes the required background checks and any training requirements. Completes CPR certification (Adult and child). Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Be 18 years of age. Ability to speak, read and write English. Ability to complete mandatory training. Ability to show basic knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite software and cashier experience. Ability to demonstrate knowledge of safety and sanitation practices; management of safety hazards.
